It is essential to understand we are interested in Slovaks and Slovakia as seen by the Czech press. Based on the performed content analyses and their results respectively, the diploma thesis characterizes the ways Slovaks and Slovakia are portrayed in the Czech press in the given periods. These findings are then compared to capture the overall evolution of media portrayal of Slovaks and Slovakia in the Czech press in the course of time. The empirical evidence serves as a base for formulating conclusions and validating the research hypothesis.
